Quant Americas celebrating International Women’s Day by reinforcing its commitment to gender equality

At Quant, we recognize that diversity and gender equality are pivotal aspects of our organizational values. With female leadership as a key focus area, in region Americas, we are consistently working to involve more women in strategic positions and the daily operations.

The regional management team consists of Regional Business Controller, Desireé García, and Regional Accounting Manager, Mayara Ordani, who together with Regional Sales Manager, Ricardo Perroni, and Regional Manager, Patricio Ibarra, strategically lead Brazil, Chile, the United States, Mexico, and Peru.

Thus, our regional management team comprises 50% women. Also at country level the representation is similar, since in region Americas, female leaders stand out in areas such as safety, operations, sales, sustainability, administration, human resources, accounting, finance, among others.

Desireé García, Regional Business Controller:

“At Quant, people are at the center of our operations, which is why we value and promote leadership in relation to experience, track record, and performance. We work hard to reduce gaps, while of course always keeping focus on the comprehensive safety of our people.”

While industrial maintenance is predominantly a male sector, Quant Americas has women working in all its contracts in industries such as mining, metals, fishing, pulp & paper, chemicals, and discrete manufacturing. The female staff – as of March 2025 – is more than 100 women throughout the region.

Mayara Ordani, Regional Accounting Manager:

“One of our main focus areas is diversity. We are present in so many countries and we need to attract the best people to make sure we can keep machines working. And, without a doubt, the female team at Quant Americas has played a key role in adding value for our customers for more than 35 years.“

In all of Quant Americas’ contracts and corporate offices, activities were arranged to highlight the International Women‘s Day to commemorate women and their contributions to the development of the company, such as spaces for conversation and comprehensive well-being programs aimed at reinforcing the commitment to gender equality and the balance of work and family life.
