Meet João Renato Paixão – winner of Quant Awards 2024

Earlier this year, the runners-up and winners of Quant Awards 2024 were announced. The winner of the Sustainability Award was João Renato Paixão, Mechanical Coordinator at one of our sites in Brazil.

– This award came as a big surprise to me. I did not expect it at all, and I am very happy about this pleasant surprise, he says.

Quant Awards is an annual event within Quant. All employees can nominate a colleague that they feel deserves to be recognized for their efforts related to sustainability, collegial support, customer service, or innovation. Through Quant Awards, we recognize individuals and teams that personify the Quant values and entrepreneurial spirit.

The Sustainability Award is given to a colleague or team demonstrating exemplary safety, health, or environmental leadership and behavior. For 2024, João Renato Paixão was announced the winner, and the justification read: “João is driving important initiatives associated with sustainability, safety, quality, and innovation to improve productivity and performance regarding our scaffolding service at the site.”

“An essential partner for our customer“

João is working at one of our sites in Brazil. It is a big site with around 600 Quant employees, and Quant is responsible for maintenance services including truck and scaffolding services.

– Since we started this partnership, we have worked on improving our relationship and way of serving our customer. This has positioned Quant as a full-service partner where we can provide support not only related to the core maintenance services but also in a wide range of areas, João says.

During the partnership, the site team has worked together with the customer to improve performance in identified key areas. This has yielded results in terms of improved productivity and reliability, and a strong customer relationship, to mention a few.

– With our experience from industrial maintenance and our highly skilled workforce focused on safety and the environment, we have become an essential partner in terms of developing maintenance but also sustainability related processes.

Winning the Quant Awards came as a surprise to João, who emphasizes that the win is the result of a team effort. He feels strongy connected to the Quant values – passionate, professional, and proud – and highlights that these are reflected in the daily work done by him and the entire team.

– This is not only my award. It is shared with the great site team, but also with my family who is always supporting me, he says.
