Quant organizing workshop on artificial intelligence

Recently, Quant Chile had the honor of organizing the workshop Artificial Intelligence Workshop: Challenges and Opportunities in collaboration with our customer Codelco and the University of Aconcagua. The main objective of this event was to foster a debate around this branch of computer science and contribute to the knowledge of our clients and the community.

The event took place both in person, at the auditorium of the University of Aconcagua, and online, where participants could access it through a QR code. The seminar was presented by José Díaz, director of the University of Aconcagua campus, Patricio Ibarra, Quant People & Safety Manager Americas and Country Manager for Brazil, and Manuel Ramos, Senior Engineer in Technologies and Mandate of Codelco Andina.

The workshop was opened by Quant Chief Digital Officer (CDO), Maja Robertsson, who addressed the global trends and how we need to adapt to new ways of working with the increasing use of artificial intelligence in the industry. Following that, Cristián Brito, Master in artificial intelligence from the Adolfo Ibáñez University (UAI), gave a presentation on the applications of artificial intelligence for environmental protection. Finally, Rolando Castillo, CEO of RightCom & MoviSight, shared his insights on the prospects of using artificial intelligence in predictive industrial maintenance.

This workshop was not only an opportunity to explore the challenges and opportunities of artificial intelligence, but also to strengthen the connection between academia, the industry, and our community, confirming our commitment to knowledge and innovation.
