Quant Ludvika completes 1,000 days without accidents
At the beginning of November, Quant Ludvika completed 1,000 days without Lost Time Incidents (LTI). Ulf Andersson, Quant Site Manager in Ludvika, highlights the strong safety culture and the close collaboration with our customer as two key factors behind this success.
Our partnership with Hitachi Energy in Ludvika started back in 2007. Quant is responsible for maintenance, logistics, and waste management at the plant. Some important focus areas in the partnership are, of course, the work environment, personal safety, and the environment, which are fundamental pillars in the work done at the site.
Recently, our Quant Ludvika team reached a major milestone when they completed a full 1,000 days without Lost Time Incidents(LTI). According to Site Manager Ulf Andersson, an important success factor is the strong safety culture that permeates the entire organization.
– We continuously review our work processes and methods to ensure a good working environment. Safety is a recurring topic both in internal discussions and in our meetings with the customer, and every employee is involved in and takes responsibility for how we can work safely, he says.
Pekka Venäläinen, Regional Manager for Europe & Middle East:
– I am very proud of our employees in Ludvika. It is a big site where we have many employees, and to maintain such a high safety level for such a long time is truly impressive. Together with our customer, our employees are doing an excellent job and are very good role models for the entire industry in how to work safely. Our employees take their own responsibility very seriously and clearly show how we, together with our customer, can develop and improve our common work environment so that everyone comes home healthy and unharmed after each working day.
