Quant Brazil executing plant shutdown with the highest operational excellence

In the last days of 2024, a team of various industrial maintenance professionals and technicians from Quant carried out exceptional shutdown work at the Vale plant in Brazil.
With a strong focus on operational excellence, prioritizing aspects of safety, care for the environment, and sustainability, the Quant Brazil team operating at the Vale facility executed a plant shutdown between December 18 to 23, 2024, at Vale Sossego in Brazil.
This challenging and ambitious project required full daily shifts to achieve the final objective of maintaining a strategic plant area for our client.
The project was led by Quant Brazil operations manager André Faria, and included teamwork between different functions in the company.
– We developed impeccable work, since we executed the tasks exactly as we defined them and with the highest operational excellence. We demonstrated, once again, the technical knowledge and leadership skills that we have in industrial maintenance, he says.
The scope of this project included delivery of scaffolding assembly services, along with construction materials, trucks, pick-ups, and equipment. Quant once again stood out with excellence, where our company culture of putting our greatest asset, our employees, at the center clearly showed. As an example, regular breaks were planned to rehydrate our employees with isotonic drinks, ensuring their well-being.
Operating with the highest safety standards
Taking advantage of the opportunity, we also presented a new initiative to our client, focusing on ergonomics. In our operations, we have implemented “the exoesqueleto”, an ergonomic device that reduces operational effort in handling weights, in addition to correcting body posture, preventing occupational diseases, and ensuring better performance.
Another point worth highlighting is the commitment of our people to the strategic alliance established with Vale some time ago. The multidisciplinary team, made up of a wide variety of specialist technicians, managed to optimally complete the plant shutdown project.
Edileide Peruna, Human Resources and Safety Manager at Quant Brazil:
– During the 120 hours of this challenge, no accidents were recorded involving people or environmental incidents, which reflects our company’s culture of high safety and responsibility.
