Spotlighting the Quant veterans: Edileide Peruna

In 2025, we are celebrating Quant’s 10-year anniversary as an independent company. Some of our professionals have been part of our journey since the early days and one of them is Edileide Peruna, People & Safety Manager for Brazil.
Quant origins from ABB but has been operating as a standalone company since 2015. Ever since then, Edileide Peruna has seen Quant’s development from the front row, having held various roles within the company. Currently working as the People & Safety Manager for Brazil, she highlights the company’s changing environment as a hotbed for personal growth.
– If I was to describe Quant’s journey in one word, it would be “evolution”. Quant’s history is marked by continuous growth, not only in numbers, but in maturity, purpose, and impact. From its first steps to its most recent achievements, the company has never stopped reinventing itself, learning from its mistakes, adapting to market changes and expanding its vision, she says.
– Watching the company grow, face challenges and adapt to changes has been both challenging and extremely rewarding. My experiences have been intense and enriching for both my personal and professional growth.
One of the most memorable milestones was when she, as a young woman, was appointed Operations Manager for Brazil. She describes her feelings when accepting the offer as a mix of excitement, joy, motivation – and also a bit of fear.
– For me, a mission given is a mission to accomplish. So, I sought to specialize, understand the processes and people, using humility and dialogue as the basis for solving problems.
“Important to focus on the journey“
When talking about her career at Quant, her colleagues is a central theme. Edileide emphasizes the importance of building and maintaining good relationships, but also to remember to learn from each other and enjoy the journey together.
– I think it is important to focus on the journey as much as you focus of the deliverables. It is easy to get lost in the rush, in deadlines, and in goals, especially in an environment like Quant’s, where we are driven by challenges and the constant strive for excellence. But we cannot forget that we are human before we are professionals. Cultivate genuine relationships, celebrate small victories, and learn from each other.
And people is also central when Edileide is sharing her best advice for someone who might just be starting their Quant career. Another key is the Quant values – passionate, professional, and proud.
– Listen to people and treat them as you would like to be treated. Seek to deepen your knowledge, and trust that you are capable, she says.
– Quant values people who care about what they do, so show your passion, keep an open mind, and always seek to understand the “why“ behind what we are building. At the same time, be professional in everything you do – meet deadlines, listen carefully, deliver with quality, and treat everyone with respect.
“We are catalysts for change“
The Quant values are also key in Edileide’s own work, guiding her day-to-day approach.
– I am passionate about what I do, acting with engagement and love. I strive to be professional, basing my actions on the organization’s legislation, standards, and rules. And I am very proud to be part of the Quant family.
Having worked at the company for a decade, Edileide sees her role and that of other experienced colleagues as supporting other team members in embracing the company culture, but also driving innovation and development in an ever-changing industrial environment.
– I believe that experienced employees play a fundamental role in building Quant’s future, not only because of the technical or historical knowledge they bring, but mainly because of their ability to inspire, guide and sustain the culture that has brought us here. We are guardians of the company’s identity, but also catalysts for change. Our challenge is to balance tradition with innovation.
When asked about the most valuable lesson learned during her time at Quant, people are once again at the centre:
– The biggest lesson I have learned here is that there is a solution for everything, and that listening to people is essential. The most valuable skill is adapting to needs, demands, and priorities, Edileide says.
Patricio Ibarra Gomez, Regional Manager Americas:
– Edileide is a great professional, passionate about maintenance and constantly seeking to add value to processes and challenges. With strong leadership and business acumen, she has developed an enormous capacity to inspire and mobilize our people. She embodies the empowered, strategic, and visionary woman. Congratulations Edi, and thank you very much for your invaluable contributions!
