Quant Stockholm reaches 1,000 days without accidents

Quant Stockholm ended 2024 in the best possible way, reaching a full 1,000 days without Lost Time Incidents at the end of December. Since Quant took over the maintenance responsibility there has been zero accidents at the two sites – and the key is consistent and focused safety work.
Quant’s partnership with Exeger started in 2022 and Quant is responsible for the maintenance at Exeger’s two facilities in the Stockholm area in Sweden. Exeger is pioneering photovoltaic technology with its Powerfoyle, a patented solar cell material that makes it possible to charge equipment from any light source, including indoor lighting.
Since the start of the partnership, in April 2022, there has never been an accident at any of the plants – which means that by the end of 2024, Quant Stockholm reached a full 1,000 days without Lost Time Incidents.
– Safety is a constant focus area for us. In every morning meeting, we talk about safety and remind ourselves about the importance of making risk assessments, using the right safety equipment, and so on. It is a continuous work that can never be considered finished, says Jennifer Kilman, Quant Site Manager.
“Employees play an important role”
Nicklas Holfelt, former Site Manager who now works in a global role at Quant, also highlights Quant’s global Safety Month as an important part of the safety work.
– It is a good concept to really focus on safety. It is an opportunity to, for example, review and possibly revise routines and to delve deeper into Quant’s various processes. In addition, the employees of course play an important role – in the end, they are the ones who have done a good job and taken the measures necessary to work safely, he says.
Both Jennifer and Nicklas highlight that 1,000 days without accidents is an important milestone – but it is not a goal that has been achieved.
– The goal is of course that there should never be more than zero accidents, that these days without LTI:s will continue to increase. This is not the goal, but a milestone, says Nicklas.
– We look forward to the next one – 2,000 days, Jennifer adds.
“Quant Stockholm is a role model in safety”
And to get there, there is still of course a strong focus on safety, which is always the most important thing in the work.
– Safety is the top priority. We will continue to stay updated and take the necessary measures in this changing environment that we are working in, to ensure that we can continue to operate safely also in the future, says Jennifer.
Quant’s safety work has also been recognized by Exeger, stating that their safety culture has also been strengthened since our partnership started.
– We have received feedback that Quant has had a good influence on their own safety work, and that their safety mindset has improved since we took over responsibility for maintenance, says Jennifer.
Pekka Venäläinen, Regional Manager for Quant Europe & Middle East:
– I am incredibly proud of our employees in Stockholm. They are an excellent example of how we build strong partnerships with our customers, where safety is of course a cornerstone of the collaboration. Reaching a full 1,000 days without LTI:s is an impressive achievement and shows the importance of good leadership, good customer collaboration, and committed employees who take safety very seriously. Quant Stockholm is a role model in safety, not only for us at Quant but for everyone who works in the industry.
