CAP recognizes Quant’s work in major shutdown

CAP, one of our customers in Chile, has recognized the hard work carried out by Quant in their Primary Production Unit by providing support during a major shutdown in another area known as Straight Bar Mills.

At this site, Quant is responsible for providing maintenance services in key areas for CAP, the largest steel producer in Chile. The Straight Bar Mills produce steel products such as straight bars, coils, smooth bars, and bars with projections, according to the final requirements of the client.

Despite Quant’s team not being familiar with this specific area, the project was approached with the highest standards of safety and quality, even identifying areas for improvements in the equipment. The customer attributes this success to the leadership of Quant Site Manager Manuel Martinez and the teamwork approach adopted, which has been highlighted by CAP Operations Manager, Juan Carlos Ponti and CAP Safety Manager, Swindy Kopp.

“This new achievement is the result of systematic teamwork, which has allowed us to earn validation from our customer at the management level and become visible to other companies as their strategic partners”, says Manuel Martinez.
